What makes it move?

Power for Buick’s Encore takes advantage of all of the latest developments in automotive engine technology. By combining turbocharging with direct fuel injection, continuously variable valve timing, and strategic internal reinforcements, Buick’s engineers have coaxed 138 horsepower and 148 ft-lbs of torque from a 1.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine. For greater efficiency, the turbocharger is integrated into the exhaust manifold; this also reduces weight and improves engine response. A six-speed automatic transmission ties the powertrain together with a choice of either front-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive.

Why buy the 2015 Buick Encore?

For the 2015 models, Encore incorporates 4G LTE Connectivity, enabling it to serve as a WiFi hotspot. With a long list of luxury-oriented standard features, the only thing truly small about the Encore is its footprint. Available cutting edge safety features include automatic crash notification, forward collision warning, lane departure alerts, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert functionality. NHTSA says Encore is a five-star car for safety. Despite its diminutive dimensions, Encore boasts 18.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the rear seat, and 48.4 cubic feet with the rear seatbacks folded. The interior is suitably upscale in appearance with attractive-woodgrain accents and soft touch materials strategically situated throughout the passenger compartment. Encore also delivers the luxuries and smoothness you expect from a Buick.
