I owned a Disco and was at first put off by the look of the LR3. However, with a wife and kids I was impressed with how much better the LR3 drives (in town) vs. the Disco.
Bought one three months ago and used it for normal commutes mostly. Took it to the Smoky mountains two weeks ago and was blown away. This truck smokes the Disco in every category. I ran the hell out of it for three days and the LR3 exceeded all of my expectations. This is a much tighter vehicle than the Disco. On normal dirt roads (no ruts) I could easily travel at 50 mph and it almost behaved as if it were on pavement. There is much less lean during tight turns. On rougher terrain it lived up to the pedigree without jarring the crap out of my kidneys. The air suspension is as advertised.
The best part is that after our trip there were no problems, warning lights, etc. LR seems to have engineered a lot more quality and reliability into this car vs. the Disco.
