The handling--excellent variable ratio power steering
Least favorite feature:
Wiper control is not real intuitive and gearshift position not always easy to read. Top anchoring point for driver's seat belt is not high enough on door pillar to reach easily
Advice to buyer:
Make sure you understand it does not have a full trunk to back seat pass-through for wide objects if that feature has been important to you in the past. Prescribed oil is not available just anywhere. If you keep a backup supply you'll have to shop around
Detailed review:
Before I took delivery on my 04 Galant, I watched the dealer's guy take one to the wash rack and I was impressed by how this car can haul butt from a standstill (confirmed when I got behind the wheel). My wife and I both like the edgy good looks and solid comfort inside. Driver fatigue on long trips has been a problem for me in prior cars, but way less so with the Galant. It's a great road car and has plenty of room for everyone, INCLUDING the rear seat passengers. Compares very (very) favorably to Accord and Camry.
