 Advice to buyer:

If you don't need to haul a full load of people plus luggage, this is your vehicle.

 Detailed review:

I had a 2003 Trailblazer EXT that I hated. The six had no power and it handled lousy. One day while having it serviced my salesman told me about a great lease deal on the Tahoe. I jumped at the chance to dump the Trailblazer. The Tahoe LT is more truck than I need but it is a pleasure to drive with its powerful V8 and it handles like a much smaller vehicle. It is getting almost 16mpg in mixed highway/city driving. I was prepared for 12mpg so I'm very happy. It has almost every feature you could want and is very roomy for my family of 4. There is very little room behind the 3rd row seat which does not fold flat into the floor but when it is folded up we can haul 2 weeks worth of vacation luggage. Yes, it is 'old tech' and has not been changed much since the 2000 model year but this has turned out to be GOOD. After 6 model years thay have apparently learned how to build it right. It's dependable, a pleasure to drive, and the leather interior is pleasant even if not of the highest quality materials. The controls are logical and the XM Radio is a hit with everyone in our family. IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE CUTTING EDGE, AND ARE LOOKING FOR A ROOMY, DEPENDABLE FULL SIZE SUV, GIVE THE TAHOE A TEST DRIVE. Also, full size SUV's are not flying off dealer lots with the current gas prices. You should be able to save enough to more than pay for the extra gas.
