What's New for the 2004 Chrysler 300M?
For the first time, the Chrysler 300M is available with a navigation radio system. Otherwise, Chrysler carries the 300M over for 2004 with virtually no changes, unless you count the inclusion of a new BeltAlert system that reminds the driver to buckle up. Next year, the new Chrysler 300 replaces the Chrysler 300M, and it includes an available Hemi V8 engine and rear-wheel-drive.

Advantages of the 2004 Chrysler 300M:

  • Handling with the Chrysler 300M Special
  • Large and commodious cabin
  • Comfortable seats
  • Usually available with big discounts

Objections to the 2004 Chrysler 300M:

  • Outward visibility (especially to the rear)
  • Somewhat unrefined powertrain
  • Somewhat downmarket interior materials

Editor's Advice:
Our favorite 2004 Chrysler 300M is the Special, which handles like no front-wheel-drive sedan of this size has a right to. The tradeoff, however, is a stiff ride. Standard Chrysler 300Ms are likeable, with enough style and performance to keep most domestic loyalists happy.
