What's New for the 2004 Land Rover Range Rover? A new limited edition 2004 Land Rover Range Rover debuts this year. The Westminster, of which 300 are available, is coated with Java Black pearlescent paint and rides on 20-inch bright alloy wheels. Inside you’ll find a comfortable interior trimmed with Grand Black Ebony wood on the dash and black leather on the seats. Rain-sensing windshield wipers and a cargo area luggage net complete the Westminster edition. On all Range Rovers, two options are new for 2004. The Heated Accessories package includes a heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, and a ski bag. The Luxury Interior package comes with the Heated Accessories package as well as contour seats with 14-way adjustment and additional leather trim in the cabin, such as on the door pulls and upper dashboard pad. Advantages of the 2004 Land Rover Range Rover:
- Phenomenal off-road prowess
- Excellent ride quality
- Impressive engine
- Opulent and quiet cabin
- Front and rear seat comfort
- Quality of build and materials
- Plethora of safety equipment and systems to protect occupants
Objections to the 2004 Land Rover Range Rover: - Only 62 cubic feet of cargo space
- Difficult to get into and out of
Editor's Advice: Yes, Land Rover does build something we can recommend. In fact, some members of our staff feel that if they could only have one vehicle to do it all at any price, the 2004 Land Rover Range Rover is the vehicle they’d buy. Completely re-engineered by BMW during that German automaker’s brief ownership of Land Rover, the Range Rover is blessedly Teutonic in driving character yet coddles its passengers in British finery. With a sumptuous interior trimmed in matte-finished wood and creamy leather, impressive on-pavement handling characteristics and nonpareil off-road capability, it’s everything you’re looking for in a luxo-ute and more. It may be a gas-guzzler and its cargo hold won’t accommodate as much detritus as some of its competitors, but driving the 2004 Land Rover Range Rover will make you feel like the king of the Serengeti – or at least Rodeo Drive.
