As General Motors readies next year's replacement for the Pontiac Grand Am, only two changes are in store for 2004. A new MP3 player is standard on the top-level GT and optional on all other models, and Sport Red Metallic paint is added to the color chart.

The 2004 Pontiac Grand Am is a better car than most believe, especially at the blowout clearance prices for which they are usually sold. The Grand Am is reasonably entertaining to drive, rather comfortable for two, sporty looking and a decent value with discounts applied. But don’t be surprised if the car’s worth is dramatically lower when it comes time to sell.
