What's New for the 2005 Bentley Continental GT? Now in its second year, there are no significant changes for the Continental GT.
Advantages of the 2005 Bentley Continental GT:
- Glorious and moneyed interior design
- All-wheel drive
- Low-priced access to the premium Bentley name
- Roomy trunk
Objections to the 2005 Bentley Continental GT: - High curb weight saps performance
- Rear seats for children only
- For better or for worse, the GT lacks some of the traditional Bentley gravitas
Editor's Advice: In our opinion, there are three main reasons to buy a Continental GT. One: It has a fantastic interior that is completely appropriate for this class of car. Two: While not to everyone's liking, the exterior styling is distinctive and easily identifiable. Three: telling your friends or your parents that you bought a Bentley sounds a lot more impressive than telling them you bought a Mercedes-Benz. Some might say that this smallest and most affordable Bentley has lost some of the emotional involvement that one traditionally associates with Bentley sedans. Others claim, rightly, that acceleration and nimbleness are penalized by the car's hefty curb weight. But it's hard to deny the car's attractiveness. For those with the coin, the Continental GT won't disappoint.
