What's New for the 2005 Cadillac CTS-V?
As it was introduced late into the 2004 model year, there are no changes for the 2005 Cadillac CTS-V.

Advantages of the 2005 Cadillac CTS-V:

  • Seat-puckering acceleration
  • Supple ride quality
  • Perfect driving position
  • Comfortable seats

Objections to the 2005 Cadillac CTS-V:

  • Axle tramp under hard acceleration
  • Could use quicker steering ratio
  • Awful foot-operated parking brake
  • Interior materials and construction could use improvement

Editor's Advice:
Last year, Cadillac created a hot-rodded version of its entry-level luxury sport sedan. Called the CTS-V, it set out to battle the likes of the Audi S4 and the Mercedes C32 AMG, among others, to once again establish an American stronghold in the performance-jacked, wolf-in-sheep's clothing realm. With 400 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque available from its 5.7-liter V8 engine, derived from the previous-generation Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the Cadillac CTS-V offers blistering acceleration and impressive handling. Also included with the CTS-V are Brembo brakes, 18-inch wheels, revised suspension tuning and a six-speed manual transmission. While it lacks the refinement levels of its German competition, the CTS-V does possess the athletic responses and raw power to establish it as an underdog favorite.
