What's New for the 2005 Chrysler Sebring Convertible? Few changes accompany the popular 2005 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. There's a new standard stereo, and an available sound system with a six-disc in-dash CD changer and a built-in navigation system. Automatic climate control, automatic headlamps and genuine walnut wood trim join the options list for 2005. Standard, GTC and Touring models may be outfitted with a two-tone Dark/Light Taupe interior, while Limited models get a Deep Jade/Light Taupe combination. Outside, new colors include Linen Gold, Midnight Blue, Magnesium Pearl and Inferno Red Crystal Pearl.
Advantages of the 2005 Chrysler Sebring Convertible:
- Power operated top quickly opens and closes
- Glass rear window with defroster makes this a four-seasons car
- Minimal cowl shake
- One of a handful of convertibles that can hold four adults comfortably
- Commodious trunk for a drop-top
Objections to the 2005 Chrysler Sebring Convertible: - Rental car stigma
- Lacks refinement
- Not as handsome as the 1996 original
Editor's Advice: Because this cruiser (definitely not a bruiser) is one of the most popular convertibles ever sold and lacks significant competition in its price class, the 2005 Chrysler Sebring Convertible makes plenty of sense if you find a need to own a ragtop with room for four adults. But don't forget to examine the Toyota Camry Solara with equal interest.
