Editor's Advice: General Motors fields the most modern full-size cargo van on the market in the 2005 GMC Savana Cargo and its near twin, the Chevrolet Express Cargo. Recently updated, and last redesigned for 1996, these workhorses feature powerful V8 engines and an all-wheel-drive system, the latter exclusive to this segment. Though the Dodge Sprinter (a rebadged European-market Mercedes-Benz commercial van) is a compelling alternative, we recommend the GMC Savana Cargo if a full-size cargo van is what you need.
