What's New for the 2005 Pontiac Bonneville? All 2005 Pontiac Bonnevilles now come standard with OnStar telematics, and a new exterior appearance package for the SLE trim level includes alterations to the front and rear fascias, taillights, headlamps, fog lamps, and bodyside moldings. Two new color choices also debut for Pontiac's biggest sedan.
Advantages of the 2005 Pontiac Bonneville:
- Roomy cabin
- Comfortable ride
- Generous list of standard features
- Stout engines in both V6 and V8 forms
- Handles well for a large sedan
Objections to the 2005 Pontiac Bonneville: - Overwhelmingly busy center stack controls
- Refinement levels don’t match those of other family sedans
- Rear seat could use more legroom
Editor's Advice: Essentially a sound vehicle that shares its basic platform with the now deceased Cadillac Seville and Oldsmobile Aurora, the Pontiac Bonneville nonetheless suffers from a fussy interior layout, downmarket cabin materials and unimpressive resale values. Hefty rebates are enticing, but even when discounted the 2005 Pontiac Bonneville's appeal fades in the face of strong competition.
