What's New for the 2006 Scion tC?
The Scion tC's rookie season was a hit and the folks at Scion know not to mess with a good thing. Minor changes for 2006 include a couple more goodies for the tC's targeted audience to get giddy about, including an iPod/mini-jack positioned in the center console and steering wheel mounted audio controls. Also, the exterior color palette has been freshened with Classic Silver Metallic and Nautical Blue replacing Silver Streak Mica and Indigo Ink Pearl.

Advantages of the 2006 Scion tC:

  • Loaded with standard features including a panorama sunroof
  • Performance above average compared to rest of class
  • Hereditary level of quality from Toyota and Lexus
  • Hatchback utility

Objections to the 2006 Scion tC:

  • Bold features give way to so-so exterior design
  • Having to repeatedly tell yourself you’re not too old to be seen in it

Editor's Advice:
Focused on feeding targeted consumers more value, the addition of an external media player outlet jacks up the cool-factor for the 2006 Scion tC's interior and keeps drivers and passengers up-to-date on the latest downloads to hit the 'net. Worry less about the parental units chiming in on those explicit lyrics too; a flip of the steering wheel mounted audio controls and they'll be none the wiser. The feature-packed 2006 Scion tC continues to leave almost nothing behind when it comes to meeting the needs of today's youth. Nothing, that is, except the right amount of sheet-metal bends, creases and curves that would have the under-25 crowd bedding down with images of the tC instead of Tom Welling or Jessica Simpson. But hey, it's what's on the insidethat counts, right? After all, there are enough accessories and add-ons for both the interior and exterior to boost anyone's ego. If you're still iffy about the tC, take another look at the standard features list – you can't do much better for under $17,000. As for the exterior, you can hope for some hook-ups with Xzibit but be warned, West Coast Customs might just leave the already pimpin' interior untouched.
