Did not meet Toyota's reputation for quality |
Advice to buyer: |
Have it checked out thoroughly before purchasing |
Detailed review: |
Since this was the 1st year the Sienna was built, I consulted friends who worked at Toyota in Georgetown and purchased the extended warranty and am glad I did! 2 door handles broke - the back and sliding door, power steering rack replaced, bulb went out in dash (which I'm told requires the removal of the steering wheel and will cost me ~$125 for a $20 bulb), crank shaft seal leak. The dash rattles like crazy in the winter when it's cold and contracts (dealer broke my windshield trying to fix). Brakes have required a lot of maintenance. Now, Toyota has sent me a letter saying there could be a problem with the transmission! |
