Wait until 2004 when the SS gets 40 more horsepower.
Detailed review:
I love the lines but I wish I held out till 2004 when the SS gets an additional 40 horsepower. The car tends to torque its way down road as is the nature of the 3800 series II powerplant. The usual smooth shifting transmission can become confused as to what gear to be in under certain driving conditions. If your looking for a sports car this is not it. But if you are looking for a smooth, well performing 2 door car with clean lines and decent performance for under $25,000 this is it.
