DO NOT BUY FORD PRODUCTS |
Detailed review: |
I bought my first and last Ford in July 2002 from Prairie Ford in West Chicago, IL. The first week we had the car we discovered over 50 bubbles or fragments in the clearcoat paint finish on all panels of the car except the bumber covers. The clowns at Prairie Ford had my car for 5 weeks and did not correct all defects in the car, Ford service rep solution.... credit two car payments and forget about everything. Then lets not forget about the constant transmission shifting problems, faulty catalytic converter which had to be replaced, rattles in interior. Oh and just the other day on Christmas eve, the six inch trim below the rear lift window cracked when I closed the rear hatch. I called Ford today and since my vehicle now has 42,000 miles on it the cracked rear window trim is not covered under the bumper to bumper warranty. It's not covered under the 5 year/100,000 mile warranty either. Ford says this is my responsibility, I close my rear window and the trim cracks in zero degree weather and this is my fault. This repair is estimated at $250 to $300 which I am not going to pay. I will be consulting a Lemon Law Attorney this week, if the Attorney can't help then I may just drive my Ford through the showroom window of Prairie Ford and tell them they can have their piece of shit car back. My first and my last Ford. I would strongly suggest that nobody buy a Ford, Ford sucks, the quality of the cars suck and Ford shits on their customers. I'm kicking myself today... I should have bought a Chevy. |
