We were car shopping for mom's b/day, and came across this Impala. Fell in love with it from moment 1. Runs and drives silky like a dream, corners like no other. Smooth gear shifting, sufficient stop-and-go horsepower. The only problem we had with it is a computer warning light 'CHANGE ENGINE OIL' that keeps coming on. We had the on-board computer reset once at 11,000 miles, and the problem was fixed. Then it recently started warning again, at 21,000 miles, even though the oil was just changed. The techs at dealership reset it again, but a day later the warning was back on. So far this is the only problem, and a minor and neglijible one. The rest of the car - a job well done by GM. We own 3 other Fords, and, besides being gasers for 4 and 6 cylinder cars, they truly and sadly live by their name: F(ix) O(r) R(epair) D(aily). |
