Advice to buyer: |
If you must have AWD van |
Detailed review: |
The Sienna is the best AWD mini van, but not the best van. Roomy, comfortable & well built. The 6 cyl has decent power, handles well, and smooth 5 speed auto transmission. The AWD provided good traction to the wheels, working well on the road. But the skid control computer gets confused on our rual roads in snowy and muddy conditions - it takes over and in my opinion, makes some bad decisions. Braking is bit under average, mainly due to lack of traction in adverse weather by sub-standard run flat (all weather) tires . Run flat & lack of spare are a disaster; tires are difficult to get fixed, very expensive to buy & wear prematurely. THere's no storage for seldom used emergency supplies, such as jumper cables, flares. etc. |
