Detailed review: |
I have 95k on my Silverado now and have only needed to replace the brake pads once and tires twice, thats it. This is the finest vehicle I have ever owned. I compared when buying to the ford, dodge, toyota etc. The Silverado posted more power and economy, I have found these numbers to be true. I get at least 17 mpg, even in 4wd. The Silverado was the only truck that an adult (european)could actually sit in the rear seat comfortably. I have read some belly-aching about the Silverado ride height and gizmos from others on this site and I must say that the gizmos are actually very useful (running lights, outside temp, change oil etc.)if you actually read the owners manual. I use my truck for a lot of hauling and towing, can someone tell me the benefit of having an elevated truck body as some have respondants wish the Silverado had. I think that these guys are closet Toyota and Dodge owners who are always the ones in the ditch when it snows. Yeah, that elevated chasis looks real cool when the tow truck is righting thier vehicle. |
