Detailed review: |
Bought my 2004 Sienna in Apr 2003. The van is roomy, ride is smooth & comfortable, interior lay-out is efficient & very functional suitable for family with small children. The van in general is good, but not on-par with quality that expected from a Japanese company. There are more problems, not including recalls by Toyota, on this van compare to other Honda/Nissan/Infinity/Accura and even Ford vehicles that I've own previously. The engine micro-computer malfunctioned at 12000 miles activating ABS in D-gear. The keyless remote has the shortage range compared to others and worked intermittently from day one, finally replaced after 3 battery changes. The passenger power sliding door squeaks, driver side sliding door didn't latch intermittently. Some rattles here & there. The CD player broke after about 90 hrs of accumulative playing time, unfortunately it broke at barely over 36000, so I'm still negotiating with Toyota to cover it under warranty. Overall, it is a good van but not really lived up to expectation. |
