The performace is great and the ride is much smoother in the 2004 RAV4
Least favorite feature:
I could use a little more room/storage compartments in the front portion of the car.
Advice to buyer:
If your looking for a reliable SUV with a little pickup get the Toyota RAV4
Detailed review:
I was very surprised at the improvements of the 2004 RAV4.
I owned a 1998 and didnt like the wind noise and performance level but the engine itself was great. I had no problems at all!! Oil change and tires are all I'm accustomed to paying for. I test drove the Honda CRV and thought it was very roomy and smooth driving. I was set on getting the CRV until I heard about the 2004 CRV's cathing fire after an oil change is done. Eek! I test drove the 2004 RAV4 and was very please with all the improvements they made to the car. The pickup speed is great and the wind noise is actually minimal now and the ride is smooth. You cannot go wrong with a Toyota!! This is my third RAV4, can you believe it? I love that car!
It's reliable, safe and looks preety cool too!
