Advice to buyer: |
Drive the other minivans on the market, especially the Honda, before buying a Sienna. |
Detailed review: |
I bought the Sienna new in 1998. The drivetrain is powerful and quiet. The ride is relatively quiet. However, the quality is not consistent with Toyota's reputation. Toyota has repaired or replaced the sliding door latch(twice),the air conditioner(twice), the brakes(once, they still slip), and the stereo(once, it still shuts off periodically). Perhaps I have a fluke, but I will probably sell it (and suffer the depreciation) before the warranty expires. If the Toyota were relatively problem free, I would recommend it. |
