Advice to buyer: |
This is a great vehicle if you only need a four passenger van, or can live with all bench seats. |
Detailed review: |
The Sienna has a smooth & powerful engine, plus obvious Toyota assembly quality throughout the vehicle.
Unfortunately, one serious design flaw killed the deal - if the Sienna is equipped with four captains chairs, access to the third seat is very difficult.
The middle seats slide forward a few inches, and the seatbacks lean forward, but no clear access to the third seat is provided, unless you want to crawl in and squeeze between the seats. Very inconvenient! Toyota needs to adopt the Dodge Caravan solution where the middle captains chairs lift up with a single lever, providing a wide aisle access to the third seat. |
