Favorite feature: |
Handling and the ability of the 4 cyl. to accelerate and merge with traffic. |
Least favorite feature: |
Climate control switches are odd. They take some getting used to. |
Advice to buyer: |
I drove the 6 and 4 wagons: The 4cyl has plenty of power. Save the $2,600 premium unless you plan to tow. |
Detailed review: |
I'm a single father of two kids. I've driven the wagon for two months now. Wiz bang is it fun. It corners very well and it is surprisingly quick for a 4 cyl. I've gotten an honest 27mpg in town and with a mix of highway and town driving the car got 30mpg. This is a good thing because premium gas costs twenty + cents more a gallon. The comfort level is less than max because of the odd switches...minor. I just had to be negative about something. With leather, heated seats (oooh)and super stereo(Monsoon) comfort is still grand. Some folks complain about the seats being too firm, but I love 'em. They offer superb support and adjustability. The other cars I drove just didn't have it over the VW. I may have popped for the Audi, but it has less rear seat legroom and the goodies didn't really warrant the extra cost. If you need a family truckster and hate minivans then the Passat wagon is way to go. My daughter says the car is great and it, |
