The 2002 E-Series Van is a 3-door, up to 5-passenger full size van, available in 5 trims, ranging from the E-150 to the E-350 Super Duty Extended. The 2002 E-Series Van's closest competitors include the Chevrolet Astro Cargo Van, the Dodge Ram Conversion Van, and the GMC Savana Cargo Van. Upon introduction, the E-150 is equipped with a standard 4.2-liter, V6, 191-horsepower engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway. The E-350 Super Duty Extended is equipped with a standard 5.4-liter, V8, 255-horsepower engine. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.
