NEW FOR 2003
The 2003 SL-Class is a 2-door, 2-passenger luxury convertible, or convertible sports car, available in two trims, the SL500 Roadster and the SL55 AMG Roadster. The 2003 SL-Class's closest competitors include the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, the Lexus SC 430, and the Volvo C70. Upon introduction, the SL500 Roadster is equipped with a standard 5.0-liter, V8, 302-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. The SL55 AMG Roadster is equipped with a standard 5.5-liter, V8, 493-horsepower, supercharged engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 20-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. The 2003 SL-Class is redesigned for 2003.
