2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Review

Located up high on the dash, the Ford Explorer Sport Trac's stereo is easy to see and use. However, here's the question I have about the current Ford parts-bin stereo design, which can be found in most of the automaker's product lineup these days. Why expend so much effort to make the layout perfectly symmetrical, only to include a round rocker switch for various audio functions in place of a proper tuning knob? That makes no sense. Here's another nit to pick: the stereo display uses an old-school digital clock-style readout rather than the trendy dot-matrix appearance of modern units.
