The 2007 Kia Rondo has good road manners, with good high-speed stability and a controlled freeway ride. Kia’s driving route took us through the outskirts of Scottsdale into the desert via freeways, and it was clear that the Rondo’s chassis was up to the task of extended commuting. It exhibits body roll in hard corners, and its fun-to-drive quotient diminishes as you go faster, but this isn’t a sports car after all. That said, we were surprised to find that the Rondo was a little over damped on the big whoop-de-doos that dot desert roads. It felt too eager to get the body back under control, but we’d take that any day over a car that bounced or floated too much.
