Touted by executives as the “first modern entry-luxury vehicle in Lincoln’s history,” the 2006 Zephyr debuted to a less than enthusiastic motoring press. The Lincoln Zephyr lacks the style to draw consumer attention and cement a solid place in the entry-luxury level segment. It doesn’t help that the 2006 Lincoln Zephyr shares the majority of its parts with the Ford Fusion and the Mercury Milan, and comes standard with a minimalist 221 horsepower V6 driving the front wheels. For 2007, Lincoln plans to offer an all-wheel-drive version of the Zephyr.
