TO THE POINT What's New? Plop the M3's powerful inline six, a hydraulic rather than electric steering system, a revised suspension, and styling tweaks both functional and decorative into the BMW Z4, and the result is the excellent new M Roadster.
Selling Points: Tons of torque, macho looks, impressive handling
Deal Breakers: High price, lacks refinement, only a tick faster than a stock Z4

2006 BMW M Roadster

Window switches and door pulls are located forward on the M Roadster's door panels, granting easy access without having to contort your arm to use them. All dials and switches on the dash are easy to access and read, and the seat adjustments are accessible with the door closed. The only odd item is the placement of the SOS button under a clear plastic cover on the back of the lower center console. This could have been placed elsewhere or even concealed.
