Considered the entry-level model for Audi, the 2006 A3 is an affordable and sporty five-door hatchback designed to appeal to young buyers. Offered with either a 2.0-liter four-cylinder motor producing 200 horsepower and 207 lb.-ft. of torque or a beefier 3.2-liter V6 pushing 250 horsepower and 237 lb.-ft. of torque, the 2006 Audi A3 is a fun drive. The smaller 2.0T engine gives you the option of a six-speed manual transmission or Audi’s excellent Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG), which is a clutchless manual transmission. Choosing the 3.2-liter V6 limits you to the DSG, which is no bad thing.
