With the launch of the 2007 Yaris, Toyota has effectively silenced the Echo, the company’s subcompact car produced for the 2000 to 2005 model years. The Yaris, which happens to be just as ugly as the outgoing Echo, will be available in the spring of 2006 in three- or five-door form, both powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine generating 106 horsepower and 103 lb.-ft. of torque.
