The new Patriot is an important model for Jeep. Attracting new, and younger, buyers now may result in brand loyalty to Jeep products in the future. Plus, as consumers increasingly prefer car-based vehicles that look like SUVs but drive like a typical family sedan, Jeep needs to get into the game before it’s too late. Jeep is hoping that the 2007 Patriot’s distinctive styling and rugged looks, combined with on-road performance and decent fuel economy, will be a winning combination.
