2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Buyer's Guide

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a mid-size luxury car available in 4-door Sedan, 4-door Wagon, 2-door Coupe, and 2-door Cabriolet versions. The E-Class offers models for everyone, a diesel Sedan for eco-diehards, a moderately powerful convertible, and a crazy wagon that can hang with more than a few supercars. The interior is quite roomy, the seats are comfortable, and the ride is good. Though the E-Class Sedan/Wagon and Coupe/Cabriolet share the E-Class name and some of the same powertrains and technologies, they are based on different platforms and therefore drive differently. The current generation E-Class was introduced in 2009, and then received an extensive refresh in 2013, but a new version is on the way soon.
