2016 RAM 2500 Buyer's Guide

The 2016 RAM 2500 is a heavy-duty pickup truck that is available in a wide variety of configurations. This is a really competitive market with a lot of options to choose from, from both domestic and import automakers. The 2015 model year version of the RAM 2500 is considered one of the best in the segment, and RAM hopes to maintain that reputation with the 2016 model. Although RAM is showing promise with its growing lineup of cargo vans, its pickup trucks are the core part of the model family. The 2016 RAM 2500 slots just above the entry-level 1500, promising more horsepower and torque. The RAM 2500 was last redesigned for the 2009 model year, and the 2016 version features a mild refresh.

RAM promises that torque has gotten a bump over the 2015 model, but exact numbers haven't been released. The RAM 2500 features a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is available. Full specs won't be available until shortly before the trucks hit dealer lots in late 2015.

Why buy the 2016 RAM 2500?
