2016 Buick Encore Buyer's Guide
Buick’s first compact crossover luxury SUV demonstrates that all of the values of the venerable marque can be successfully translated into a much smaller than expected package. The Encore’s paucity of dimension may well stun you the first time you find yourself standing face to grille with one. Introduced in 2012, as a 2013 model, the Encore was engineered by GM’s German Opel subsidiary, though it is built in Korea. While the Encore has yet to solidly find its legs in terms of sales, this should not be interpreted as a fault in the tiny Buick’s capabilities. Its feature set is both long and strong, and while it’s smaller than pretty much every other crossover SUV out there, it’s an exceptionally stable and smooth riding automobile.

All-wheel drive is offered as an option. As you’d expect, the 2016 Buick Encore returns some pretty strong fuel economy numbers. Why buy the 2016 Buick Encore?
The upscale appointments of the Buick Encore are well in keeping with its status as a Buick offering. Remember, Buick is GMs entry-level luxury brand, and the Encore lives up to its marque’s positioning. Further, with features like active noise cancelling and a comfort tuned suspension system, the Encore delivers on Buick’s promise of quiet and smoothness. You’ll find the Encore to be more than amenable to the transportation needs of a young family—with lots of room up front for adults, and adequate room for young children in the back seat. Utility is another unexpected strong suit, thanks to the split-folding rear seat and the fold flat front passenger seat. And then, there’s the tech quotient, courtesy of Encore’s 4G LTE WiFi, and seven-inch touchscreen interface.
