The Ford F-250 is offered with a choice of gasoline or diesel power. The gasoline engine is a 6.2-liter V8 with 385 horsepower and 405 ft-lbs of torque. The diesel is a turbocharged 6.7-liter V8 with 440 horsepower and 860 ft-lbs of torque. The transmission is a six-speed automatic, regardless of the engine choice. Buyers can choose between rear, and four-wheel drive. With the diesel engine and a proper towing kit fitted, maximum towing capacity is 14,000 pounds. With a fifth-wheel setup, the F-250 is good for dragging up to 16,800 pounds. Maximum payload capacity is 4,130 pounds.
