2015 Ford Fiesta Buyer's Guide
The Ford Fiesta ST is a performance oriented version of the subcompact Fiesta hatchback that first went on sale in 2013. With its more powerful engine, unique suspension, aluminum pedals, and available Recaro seats, the ST might be one of the best hot hatchbacks ever made. With seven standard airbags and a safety cage made from high-strength lightweight boron steel, the Fiesta is a small car with good crash test results, except in the small overlap front test, where it scored marginal. Fuel economy is decent, though the added power of the ST’s turbocharged engine increases consumption some compared to the standard versions. The interior features soft-touch materials, and is a surprisingly comfortable place to sit (as long as you’re in one of the front two seats).

What makes it move?
The Fiesta ST is powered by a turbocharged 1.6 liter EcoBoost four cylinder, paired only with a 6-speed manual transmission. With an alloy block, 16 valves, twin-independent variable cam timing, and direct injection, the motor is modern and sophisticated. Its 197 horsepower and 202 lb-ft of torque are enough to move the lightweight Fiesta from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 7 seconds. Despite its performance, fuel economy is still a very reasonable 26 mpg city, 35 highway, and 29 combined.
Why buy the 2015 Ford Fiesta?
The Fiesta ST drives exceptionally well and is extremely fun to drive for professionals and novices alike. With its powerful engine and small size, the ST handles almost like a go-kart, thanks to its unique sporty suspension tuning and the Torque Vectoring Control that adjusts the speed between the front wheels to enhance cornering agility and reduce understeer. The ST model comes almost fully loaded, with the only options being the Recaro seats, seat heaters, the smoker’s package, navigation, and body-color power heated side mirrors with turn signals. If you want your Fiesta ST to stand out from the crowd even more, the attractive and sporty exterior can be further livened up with the available professionally installed vinyl bodyside graphic designs by Original Wraps.
