The Lexus NX slots into the growing compact SUV market offering a blend of style and luxury few of its competitors can match. Available in a standard, hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrain, it offers a variety of fueling options, providing plenty of configurations for the consumer to choose from. As standard with other compact SUVs in the segment, the NX offers the space many will need for their day-to-day activities while providing the performance needed for any weekend adventure. Its main competitors include the Acura RDX, Volvo XC40 and Audi Q3.
The Lexus NX is available in 3 model levels, the NX 350, NX 350h, and NX 450h+. The NX 350 is the only traditional powertrain in the NX lineup and is offered on an all-wheel drive platform powered by a turbocharged 2.4L 4-cylinder engine producing 275 horsepower and 317 lb. ft of torque. The NX 350h is offered in both front wheel and all-wheel drive, with it being powered by a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine and two electric motors producing a combined output of 240 horsepower. The NX 450h+ is available exclusively on an all-wheel drive platform combined with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It possesses a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with 2 electric motors producing a combined 304 horsepower, while providing 37 miles of all-electric range. Standard features on the NX trim include heated front seats, a leather wrapped steering wheel, a 9.8-inch touchscreen multimedia center, 6 USB ports, a 10-speaker premium sound system, auto LED headlights with LED fog lights, leatherette seat trim, power folding side mirrors, an automatic wiper deicer, roof rails, 8-way power adjustable front seats, automatic dual-zone climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and adaptive cruise control with traffic stop-go. The Premium trim adds a sunroof, ventilated front seats, driver seat memory, ambient lighting, a powered liftgate with a kickback sensor and a power adjusting steering wheel. The Luxury trim adds leather seat trim, a 14-inch touchscreen multimedia center, auto-leveling headlights, a digital rear view monitor, genuine wood interior trim, customizable ambient lighting, over-the-air updates and a driver head-up display. The F-Sport Trim features auto-leveling sport tuned suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels and a unique appearance package giving the vehicle a sportier look. Safety features standard across the NX lineup include 8 airbags, an active lane departure system, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation with left turn assist, rear collision warning, front pedestrian detection, driver attention alert, and a traffic sign information system.
