Overview
The Toyota 4Runner debuted in the U.S. more than 25 years ago. The five-seater 4Runner comes loaded with technology and a new hybrid model. The 4Runner competes with the Ford Bronco, Honda Passport, and Kia Telluride. The 4Runner is a truck like SUV that adds versatility to the Toyota lineup.
Model Highlights
The 4Runner is available in two models, the 2WD and 4WD with four trims SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Sport Premium, and Limited trims while the 4x4 adds the TRD Off Road, and TRD Off Road Premium. The 4Runner is powered by a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces 278 horsepower mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include a rear liftgate, heated side mirrors, a front tow hook, LED headlights, LED fog lights, 17-inch wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, an 8-speaker sound system, an 8-inch touchscreen, adaptive cruise control, mobile hotspot, smart device connectivity, 4 USB ports, and five 12V DC power outlets. The TRD Off Road models include an off-road suspension, three skid plates, 18-inch wheels, and heated front seats. The Limited trim sits at the top of the lineup with a power sunroof, turn signals integrated in the mirrors, 20-inch wheels, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, heated and cooled front seats, leather upholstery, driver seat memory, a 15-speaker sound system, a 14-inch touchscreen, voice activated navigation, 5 USB ports, 3 interior 120V AC power outlet, a remote starter, a surround view camera, and a leather steering wheel. Safety features include active lane departure, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, front pedestrian detection and a traffic sign information system. The 4WD 4Runner Hybrid is available on six trims, TRD Off Road, TRD Off Road Premium, TRD Pro, Trailhunter, Limited and Platinum. The hybrid 4Runner is powered by a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder with an electric motor that produces a combined 326 horsepower mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard features on the 4Runner Hybrid include three skid plates, heated side mirrors, a tow hook, LED headlights and daytime running lights, 18-inch wheels, seating for five, 40-20-40 folding rear seats, automatic dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, a 15-speaker sound system, a 14-inch touchscreen, adaptive cruise control, 5 12V DC power outlets, a mobile hotspot, 1 interior 120V AC power outlet, wireless device connectivity, 5 USB ports, and a leather steering wheel.
