All trims are available in both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). The 2026 Toyota Prius lineup is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 150 horsepower and 139 lb.-ft of torque. When paired with the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive system, the total system output increases to 194 horsepower and 152 lb.-ft of torque. Power is managed by a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), and the vehicle achieves an impressive EPA-estimated fuel economy of 52-56 mpg in combined city and highway driving, maintaining its status as a fuel-economy leader in its class. The interior of the Prius features a driver-centric, tech-forward cabin that provides maximum forward visibility through a low-set dashboard and expansive windshield. While front-seat passengers enjoy improved comfort and support compared to previous generations. Basic features on the Prius include 17-inch alloy wheels, low rolling resistance tires, and four-wheel disc brakes. Standard features include automatic climate control, a six-speaker sound system, an 8-inch touchscreen display, and 6 USB ports. The Nightshade and XLE trims add wireless device charging, 19-inch wheels, auto-dimming rear view mirror, garage door transmitter, front and rear parking sensors, rear pedestrian detection, rear armrest, 8 beverage holders, and heated front seats. The Limited trim is at the top of the lineup and includes a power liftgate, fixed glass sunroof, ventilated front seats, driver seat memory, an 8-speaker JBL sound system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, and voice activated navigation. A suite of safety features as standard including a pedestrian detection system, forward collision mitigation w/left turn assist, rear collision warning, adaptive cruise control with traffic stop-go, an active lane departure system, blind spot warning, and a driver attention alert system.
