The Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid is all-new for 2025.
One of the most remarkable things about the Prius is how little it asks from the owner in exchange for its legendary efficiency and drivers are not consigned to a tiny interior and miniature storage space. The Prius drives, handles and behaves just like any other mid-sized car. It just happens to get the kind of economy that can impress almost anyone. The Prius is competitive with other cars in its price bracket, offering ample interior space, a quiet comfortable ride, plenty of interior gadgets and world-famous mileage figures.
The Prius Plug-in Hybrid hatchback is available in three trims SE, XSE, and XSE Premium powered by a 2L 4-cylinder engine with 220 horsepower mated to a CVT transmission. The Prius Plug-in Hybrid has an all-electric range of 39-44 miles and a charging time of 4 hours using a level 2 charger. Standard features include heated side mirrors, LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, automatic climate control, an HD satellite radio, a 6-speaker sound system, an 8-inch touchscreen, voice activated navigation, adaptive cruise control, mobile hotspot, a 120V AC power outlet, wireless device connectivity, 6 USB ports, and a heated steering wheel. The XSE adds heated front seats, power driver seat, a garage door transmitter, front and rear parking sensors, and rear pedestrian detection. The XSE Premium sits at the top of the lineup with a power liftgate, a fixed glass sunroof, 19-inch wheels, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, cooled front seats, driver seat memory, an 8-speaker sound system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and wireless device charging. Safety features across the lineup include active lane departure, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation with left turn assist, rear collision warning, front pedestrian detection, a driver attention alert, and front cross traffic warning.
